It's not Spain turning it on at Euro 2012. It's the Germans and their brand of... sexy football
Outplayed: Daniel Agger (floored) watches as Mario Gomez attacks

Agger’s summation — coming moments after Denmark’s 2-1 defeat in Lviv — is an accurate assessment of Germany’s threat.

Their front three — with Gomez playing in between Lukas Podolski and Thomas Muller — offer a dizzying number of attacking options. Gomez has already scored three times, Podolski once, while Muller showed his class by terrorising young Holland left back Jetro Willems in Kharkiv last week.

Behind these three are the celebrated talents of Real Madrid’s Ozil and Sami Khedira. These are bolstered by the peerless Bastian Schweinsteiger and supported on either side by the attacking thrusts of Philipp Lahm and Jerome Boateng.

Between them, Gomez, Podolski, Schweinsteiger and Lahm have 337 caps. Miroslav Klose, who came off the bench against Denmark, has a further 119. Add to this that seven of tomorrow’s anticipated starting line-up are drawn from Bayern Munich and the level of their understanding becomes clear.
