Posted Tuesday, July 03, 2012 by SNTV

Spain's European Championship-winning squad continued their celebrations by meeting King Juan Carlos in Madrid on Monday.

The celebrations kept going for the Spanish team as they returned home to Spain after winning the European Championship.

And they were greeted in Madrid by an extra special fan - the King of Spain.

Iker Casillas, Andres Iniestsa and co. also met the whole family.

The King's son Felipe and Princess Letizia, as well as his grandchildren, who all gathered at the palace to congratulate the players.

The team, who gave their monarch a replica shirt, then made sure they got a photo to remember the occasion.

The team's performance in Kiev has raised spirits across a country drowning in financial woes.
