Lampard confident England's Euro preparations won't be hit by managerial saga
No Leader: England have been without a manager since February when Fabio Capello quit

'It's something we needed as a country,' Lampard said.

'We were all disappointed, the players that played in 2010, the nation expecting more out of the team, and quite rightly so.

'It needed these young boys to come through. They've shown great ability and great talent. This is something that the fans wanted to see.

'It brings a lot of youth and energy into the team and it was something that was certainly required for us as a group.

'Those players will be the present and the future of England now.'
