Lampard confident England's Euro preparations won't be hit by managerial saga
Ready to lead: Stuart Pearce is prepared to continue his caretaker role into the Euros if required

'We've seen that happen so many times.

'The important thing in this situation is that you've got the ability in the squad and in the players.

'And I believe in the squad we have that.

'So, for me, I don't think it makes much difference. It'll only be us who can dictate what difference it makes by playing well.'

Lampard's international career appeared to be winding down before Capello quit and, at 33, he accepts Euro 2012 could be one of his last chances to win something.

He said: 'I've been in England squads in tournaments before where you feel a real bandwagon, where the fans are getting excited, you're getting good results, the team's playing well, you feel you can go and win a tournament.
