Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is confident England's managerial saga will not derail their European Championship campaign.

The 33-year-old claims the squad is good enough to make light of Fabio Capello's shock departure in Poland and Ukraine, whoever takes charge for the tournament.

Capello quit in February over the Football Association's decision to strip John Terry of the captaincy.

Despite there being only just over a month before Euro 2012 begins, the FA have still yet to appoint a replacement, with Stuart Pearce currently set to remain in charge as caretaker.

Lampard, who has seen plenty of managers come and go at club and international level, told uefa.com: 'It's something as a player you learn to cope with.

'Managers leave at times you don't expect them to sometimes.

'Can it be a negative because we've lost a manager and we lose our way, or can it be positive because we galvanise ourselves, whoever comes into lead us galvanises the team and it goes very well?
