Redknapp: I love Spurs but I'd have to listen to England offer
Old pals: Avram Grant popped in to wish Redknapp well

'I can't take my eye off the ball at Tottenham at the moment. We are looking to get Champions League football and we are still in the FA Cup. I owe it to them to keep focused on the job here.'

Redknapp seems determined to finish the season with Tottenham, although that would not be a problem given Stuart Pearce has been appointed to take charge of the one England game before the summer - against Holland on February 29.

'I'd be very surprised if I didn't finish the season here,' he said. 'I will have to consider everything. At my age, I have to do what's right for me and my family. If the opportunity comes I will look at it then.'

Capello said he resigned over a misunderstanding. 'I haven't run away,' he said. 'I left because there was a misunderstanding. I was happy there, but there are times when you just decide to leave.'
