How to beat the French? England must defend like Chelsea and set Walcott free
On the run: Evra was given licence to go forward which could play into England's hands

'France have a lot of individual skills and in the last 20 minutes they took over,' Lagerback told Sportsmail.

'They have a lot of good movement. 'I don't know if they will play like this in the Euros but you can hurt them, if you attack quickly when you win the ball. Both their full backs are really offensive, so you always have space to counter-attack. We said that to the players and we did it well. We scored a  fantastic goal that way.'

Lagerback has not spoken to Hodgson recently - 'We've had a little text contact' - but added that if he does he will say:
'You have to be careful, I'd tell him that - France have speed and individual skill.
