Holding his breath: Roy Hodgson must wait to discover Smalling's fate
Hodgson is expected to name a provisional 23-man squad for Euro 2012 on Monday, although he can amend it if he discovers subsequently that any players have fitness worries.
United will play in Norway for the first time in 10 years as part of their pre-season tour, facing Valerenga on August 5 in Oslo.
