I'll play with Rio: Terry tells England boss Hodgson he's happy to start alongside Ferdinand
Posted Saturday, May 05, 2012 by Dailymail

John Terry has told Roy Hodgson he has no problems if he is picked to play alongside Rio Ferdinand at Euro 2012.

New England boss Hodgson plans to speak to both his experienced central defenders to try to solve any issues between them before picking his first squad later this month.

Terry is still facing charges later in the summer over an alleged racial insult aimed at Rio’s brother Anton in Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat at Queen’s Park Rangers back in October.

Chelsea’s captain said: ‘I don’t have an issue playing with anyone and never have done.

‘I don’t pick and choose who plays for England and if I’m selected to play it won’t become an issue either.’

Terry has been the subject of rumours that he might quit international football since Fabio Capello resigned in protest at the FA’s decision to strip the veteran defender of the England captaincy.
