Harry Redknapp has said he is willing to manage England on a part-time basis at Euro 2012 while remaining in charge of Tottenham.
The FA have yet to approach any candidates in their pursuit of a permanent successor to Fabio Capello but the 64-year-old Spurs boss is the popular favourite.
Hello, goodbye: Redknapp would be prepared to take England to the European Championships on a part-time basis
Redknapp said: 'Part-time? In the short term it's possible for the European Championship. In the long term, it's not possible to manage a club team and a national team.
'It's difficult enough to manage in the Premier League without having to worry about the England team as well. You want to be watching England players and you want to be watching the opposition. Whoever they give the job to could only do the one job. Maybe for the Euros it's not such a problem, but once they are finished and the new season starts the manager has to be a Premier League manager - if it's someone who manages in the Premier League - or the England manager. To do both would be impossible.'
