'Toxic' Terry! FA urged to remove England armband as racism trial set for after Euros
Wearing the armband: Terry has been stripped of the captaincy once before

Significantly, however, after the latest development they would not confirm that he will retain the captaincy for the rest of the season.

Terry did not attend the first hearing in the case at Westminster Magistrates' Court. His barrister, George Carter-Stephenson
QC, entered a not guilty plea.

Terry, 31, is accused of a racially aggravated public order offence over an alleged offensive comment at QPR defender
Ferdinand during a Barclays Premier League match at Loftus Road on October 23.

District Judge Howard Riddle set the trial date after hearing that a number of other Chelsea players would not be able to appear as witnesses until the end of the football season.
