We're not good enough to win Champions League, admits City boss Mancini
All smiles: Balotelli shares a joke with his team-mates in training

'If you go into the second stage maybe you can meet APOEL Nicosia or Bayer Leverkusen and you can go through - but I don't know what can happen.

'We did everything and I think we did a good game.'

Edinson Cavani’s two goals proved costly for City in midweek but Mancini insisted that he is unlikely to sign the Uruguayan or his Napoli team-mate Ezequiel Lavezzi as a replacement for Carlos Tevez in the  transfer window.

Informal talks are believed to have taken place with Cavani’s representatives but Mancini, who refused to answer questions about Tevez, said: ‘Another striker? No. I have three strikers and that’s enough. I’m satisfied. We have another three or four players who can play as a second striker.

‘I think Cavani and Lavezzi are strong players but they play for Napoli at the moment. I don’t know what can happen in the future.’
