Phil Jones loses poppy in play - England star was not wearing poppy on pitch
Phil Jones ... the player appears to be missing his poppy on the pitch

Three players were missing their armbands as the action started.

As well as Jones, James Milner and Scott Parker were without armbands. But the pair were playing in special boots with poppies embroidered on them.

Jones told The Sun on Friday: "We are wearing poppies on our armbands to pay respect to those who have lost their lives.

"It is just a massive honour and 100 per cent that puts my job into perspective. When you think of those who lost their lives for our country, playing football doesn't come into that category."

Chelsea star Frank Lampard, 33, who secured victory for the squad when he scored a goal in the 49th minute of the match, said wearing the poppies was a chance to pay tribute to real heroes — "a team that does something far more important than play football, a team that risks everything to protect lives at home and abroad."
