Stuart Pearce is ready to pledge his future to  England for another two years and intends to mark his new contract by leading his Under 21 side back from the brink.

The FA want Pearce to remain at the helm until 2013 and he spoke about a new deal with chairman David Bernstein before heading to Denmark for the European Championship.

Pearce, who hopes to be in charge of the Great Britain team at next summer’s  Olympics, is set to sign when he returns home.
