Slip-up: Van Persie and Holland had a dismal Euro 2012
Despite Arsene Wenger insisting on Tuesday night that his star striker would not be leaving the Emirates - Van Persie’s future remains uncertain.
No new face-to-face talks over a new contract with Van Persie have been scheduled, though discussions between the club and the Dutchman’s representative are likely to continue behind the scenes.
Van Persie is currently refusing to sign a new three-year deal worth £130,000-per-week - plus a £5million loyalty bonus.
