Sweden 2 England 3: It's Y-Abba D-Abba do! Victory for Roy's band of super troupers
Thanks Theo: England's players mob the substitute after making it 2-2

It led to what amounted to a collapse, two Swedish goals the result of some poor, poor defending.
It was a messy equaliser England conceded four minutes after the interval. One that came from a free-kick that Carroll conceded when he chopped down Kim Kallstrom.

After the first attempt was blocked, Zlatan Ibrahimovic sent in a hopeful half-volley that fell to Mellberg, and while Joe Hart did well to save the shot from the former Aston Villa defender the ball struck Glen Johnson and crossed the line.

If that was disappointing for Hodgson, he would have been furious with the goal Mellberg then scored in the 59th minute; a free header, all too easily converted from a Sebastian Larsson free-kick.

But then came the response, from Hodgson and his players. The stats by the end? Fifty-two per cent possession with nine shots on target. More crucially, though, there were three England goals and with them three precious points.
