While the England team were jumping on a plane back to Krakow after securing a 1-1 draw in their Euro 2012 opener against France, snubbed Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand was busy jumping in his car to see rap stars Jay-Z and Kanye West perform at the MEN Arena on Monday night.

The Manchester United defender, who was a controversial omission from Roy Hodgson's 23-man squad, saw the American stars take to the stage for their 'Watch the Throne' tour.

'The people at the JayZ/Kanye concert humbled me no end last night. Appreciate that,' Ferdinand tweeted on Tuesday morning.
