Chamberlain primed to start against France with Hodgson in bullish mood

There were suggestions on Sunday night that Hodgson was thinking of picking teenager Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain ahead of Stewart Downing — a more cautious and widely predicted option — on the left wing.
