Joleon Lescott: Insists there can be no more distractions for England
England defender Joleon Lescott knows it is time for Roy Hodgson's side to get down to business ahead of Monday's Euro 2012 opener against France.
Lescott and his team-mates have spent as much time being tourists as they have preparing for their first Group D game since arriving in Krakow on Wednesday.
But the Manchester City stopper - who is reportedly nursing groin and knee problems - insisted there could be no distractions for the next three days.
He said: "We have met a lot of children, been to parades and parties, but the football is what we are here for. We are here to win."
Lescott is just one member of England's likely back four it has been claimed are not fully fit, with John Terry and Ashley Cole said to be carrying knocks.
There was also brief concern over James Milner, who has been heavily tipped to start on Monday, after the City midfielder sat out England's visit to Auschwitz and the Oskar Schindler factory on Friday.
But the Football Association soon confirmed the 26-year-old was advised to stay off his feet for the afternoon after suffering blisters.
