Former England captain and BBC presenter Gary Lineker said on his Twitter account: 'Come on Roy, make them practice pens. 20 a day minimum. Can't do any harm. You never know!
'Never understood this 'it's different under pressure so pointless to practice' argument. Then why do golfers practice putting for hours?
'For those remotely interested, I hit between 30 and 50 pens a day in training at tournaments. Guarantees nothing but has to help.
