‘We will take it up with UEFA and, if it happens at matches, we will talk to the referee and ask him to take us off the field,’ the PSV Eindhoven midfielder said.

Not all the Dutch journalists heard the chanting and, having failed to report it, questioned Van
Bommel. ‘You need to open your ears,’ he said. ‘If you did hear it and you don’t want to hear it, that’s even worse.’
