Arsenal left to sweat as RVP praises Juve but refuses to comment on his future
Hot shot: Van Persie was the Premier League's leading marksman last season

'I've never felt so strong and I just want to continue winning. At this point in time all I want to do is focus on the European Championship. There will then be time to address other matters.'

Last week, City boss Mancini added more fuel to the fire when he said: 'Van Persie is a top-class player. His situation is different than when we signed [Gael] Clichy and [Samir] Nasri.

'It was difficult for Arsene Wenger to keep them in London. We will sign a striker if one of our forwards leave.'

Van Persie, who was named PFA player of the year, won the golden boot and picked up the Football Writers' gong, has been in fine form for Holland in their warm-up fixtures, and scored twice more against Northern Ireland on Saturday.
