Lampard sets his sights on winning 100 England caps

Frank Lampard has vowed not to give up on his England career.

There was talk of Lampard, 33, calling time on England but it is understood the midfielder will make himself available for the World Cup qualifying campaign.

With 90 caps to his name he is ambitious to reach 100.

Lampard is devastated that a thigh injury sustained in training on Tuesday has forced him out of the Euros.

However, he wants to add his name to the list of players with a century of caps.

Peter Shilton (125), David Beckham (115), Bobby Moore (108), Sir Bobby Charlton (106) and Billy Wright (105) are the only England players to have reached the milestone.

Meanwhile, Spurs appeared to have beaten Arsenal to the signature of Belgium defender Jan Vertonghen on Friday night.
