Remy doubtful for Euro 2012 after suffering thigh injury

France international Loic Remy is a major doubt for Euro 2012 after picking up a thigh injury at the weekend.

The 25-year-old limped off in Marseille's 3-0 victory against Auxerre on Sunday, and a complete assessment of the injury has revealed that the striker will spend up to four weeks on the sidelines.

Remy will miss Marseille's final Ligue 1 match on Sunday and his Euro 2012 place is in doubt as he will not be fit for Les Bleus' first two group matches, against England and Ukraine.

France coach Laurent Blanc will announce his second provisional squad on Tuesday after his first list was comprised solely of foreign-based players.

Remy, who has scored 12 goals in Ligue 1 this season, has 17 France caps to his name.
