The agent of AC Milan's Clarence Seedorf has insisted that his client's wage demands would not stand in the way of a move to Botafogo.
Speaking on Friday afternoon, representative Giovanni Branchini explained that Seedorf was not motivated by salary considerations, and that he wanted to ensure that he continued to play at the highest level.
"I believe that in 15 days something more concrete will emerge, but whoever takes Seedorf will manage it because of what they represent. His biggest concern, since he is used to big clubs and titles, is to keep his prestige at the highest level," Branchini told Globoesporte.
"Of course the financial side has to be acceptable, but the key for him is to enjoy new, winning experiences."
The former Netherlands international, 36, is a long-term target for the Fogao, who have been encouraged by previous statements in which he expressed his desire to play in the native country of his wife.
Negotiations to try to seal a free transfer are ongoing, although economic differences have so far slowed talks between the two parties.
Seedorf moved to Milan in 2002 from arch-rivals Inter, and went on to win the Champions League with the Rossoneri in 2003 and 2007.
