Guardiola will return to Barcelona, says Luis Fernandez

Former France international Luis Fernandez has said he is sure Pep Guardiola will return to Barcelona in the future following the Catalan's decision to resign at the end of the current campaign.

The 41-year-old will hand over the Blaugrana reigns to assistant Tito Vilanova after four highly successful years in charge which saw him bring 13 titles to Camp Nou.

However despite his upcoming departure which is down to physical and mental exhaustion, Fernandez believes Guardiola will be back at the club one day.

"He [Guardiola] will return to the club and train. He has given Barcelona a team, a style of football and left an extraordinary image," the former Israel coach told Cope Esports.

Fernandez also spoke of his ex-club, Paris Saint-Germain, and when asked about rumours linking the big-spending Parisien outfit with Barcelona's Pedro and Dani Alves, he did not rule out a move.

"Paris Saint-Germain want a right-back. They have big ambitions and want to sign great players and play in the Champions League," he concluded.

The 52-year-old is currently out of management yet has enjoyed previous spells in charge of Athletic Bilbao, Espanyol and Real Betis.
