Hoffenheim announced on Wednesday that they have signed Germany international goalkeeper Tim Wiese from Werder Bremen on a four-year contract. The transfer fee was not disclosed.

Wiese, 30, had been at Bremen since 2005.

He has played six games for Germany and was a member of the squad that finished third at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Wiese could soon be joined at Hoffenheim by Bayer Leverkusen's Swiss international forward Eren Derdiyok, according to a report that appeared on the website of German magazine Kicker on Wednesday.
