I’d love a Lille deal
LOAN STAR ... Joe Cole

JOE COLE wants to make his move to Lille permanent.

The former England midfielder, on loan from Liverpool, is enjoying every minute of his stint with the French champions.

Cole, 30, admitted: “I would like to stay but it’s not in my hands.

“I haven’t spoken to anyone at Liverpool. I’m waiting to hear from them.

“I’ve been very well received here. I’ve discovered a new football culture and way of playing.

“The only thing I miss is the atmosphere in the Premier League. The level is similar.”

Cole has a chance of playing for the British team at the Olympics and agrees he would love to feature.

He added: “Whenever I go home, I go right past the Olympic village.”
