England have dropped one place to seventh in the latest Fifa world rankings.
The Three Lions have not played since the last world rankings were announced, yet have dropped down a place due to Portugal’s two-place rise to fifth.
Meanwhile, Northern Ireland also moved down the list, as they dropped 13 places to 100th - below the likes of Guyana, Vietnam and Uganda.
There was better news for Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland, however. The Scots moved up three places to 48th, Wales jumped seven to 41st and Giovanni Trapattoni’s men moved up one place to 18th.
In terms of England’s Euro 2012 group rivals, France, Sweden and Ukraine were all non-movers, staying in 16th, 17th and 49th, respectively.
Meanwhile, world and European champions Spain retained top-spot, followed by Germany and Uruguay. Five-times world champions Brazil remained in sixth.
