Mancini: We were poor
EURO BLAST ... City boss Mancini

ROBERTO MANCINI saw Manchester City crash to Europa League defeat in Lisbon and admitted: We were poor.

England No 1 Joe Hart kept his side in the last-16 tie.

And City will still be favourites to go through but Mancini admitted: "We didn't play very well, could have scored, but conceded a goal.

"I don't think we deserved to lose but we have another 90 minutes and I think it will be a different game.

"We still have a big chance. Hopefully we'll have a chance to score and I think we'll score.

"I am not worried. We will go through in the Europa League."

Boss Mancini faces an anxious wait over Vincent Kompany's fitness after the skipper hobbled off early on here.

The Italian said: "We will see how it is in another one or two days. It is his calf and a calf is a bad position to have an injury.

Recover "I hope for Vinnie the injury will be short. I hope he can recover in 10 days... two weeks maximum."

And Joleon Lescott, who replaced Kompany last night, could be a doubt for Sunday's game with Swansea after picking up a groin problem.

Mancini admitted he had one eye on the trip to Wales but denied taking struggling Sporting too lightly.

He added: "We wanted to win this game and it is clear that I changed six players because they were fresh.

"We thought about Swansea. I think every game is difficult and different.

"Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose."
