John Terry: I’ll be fit for the Euros
I'M BACK ... John Terry has resumed training with Chelsea - on his own

JOHN TERRY insists he will be back to lead Chelsea's bid for a Champions League slot and available for Euro 2012.

The deposed England captain, who had knee surgery a week ago, yesterday declared the operation a success.

He told SunSport: "The operation went well and I'm feeling really good.

"The surgeon has shaved off a bit of bone in my right knee that was rubbing and causing a lot of swelling.

"We're all confident the operation has solved the problem and it is looking good for a quick return.

"The medical staff say four to six weeks before I can play again. But, hopefully, it might be sooner.

"I'll definitely be back before the end of the season to help the team in the Premier League run-in and for the Euros."

Terry's quick recovery comes as a boost for under-pressure Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas, as he battles for the top four finish which will save his job.

The defender, who has already begun his rehab at the Blues' Cobham training ground, initially suffered the injury when he collided with a post during the FA Cup win over Portsmouth on January 8.

He played on with the problem for another three weeks before surgery became the only solution.
