Bent torment! England striker likely to miss Euro 2012 with ankle injury
Crocked: The Aston Villa striker suffered the injury in the draw at Wigan

England’s Euro 2012 campaign begins against France on June 11, which puts pressure on players such as Danny Welbeck and Daniel Sturridge to quickly prove themselves at this level.

Stuart Pearce will have his first proper training session with the England squad on Tuesday ahead of Wednesday night’s friendly against Holland — one of only three matches before the France fixture — and the interim manager goes into it with three strikers — Welbeck, Sturridge and Fraizer Campbell — who have just four caps between them.
