Rafael van der Vaart has been forced to withdraw from the Netherlands squad for Wednesday's friendly clash with England.
The Tottenham midfielder will not feature at Wembley after taking a knock to his ankle shortly after coming on as a halftime substitute during his club's 5-2 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.
The injury-prone Van der Vaart, who had only just returned to full fitness after a calf problem, is now considered a major doubt for next weekend's meeting with Manchester United at White Hart Lane.
The former Real Madrid man has been capped 93 times by his country, for whom he has contributed 19 goals.
