If the shirt fits: Joey Barton tweeted this picture showing what he said was the new England kit
Kit manufacturers Umbro have broken with tradition and for the first time the England shirt has been made purely from red and white.
The traditional blue which has been found in the famous Three Lions crest has been ditched and replaced with an all red badge.
The inspiration comes from the St. George’s flag which according to Umbro is a ‘symbolic notion of Englishness’.
