Jack Wilshere has turned to an exogen machine in a bid to mend his injured ankle in time to make England’s Euro 2012 squad this summer.
The Arsenal midfielder has been out since last June and was expected to return this month, but a stress fracture suffered in training in January ruled him out for the rest of the season.
On the mend: Wilshere hopes the exogen machine will quicken his recovery
Currently on holiday with his girlfriend and son, Wilshere posted on Twitter a picture of the device attached to his ankle and tweeted: 'Dear exogen machine...please heal me quicker...love from your number one customer!'
The machine is an ultrasound bone healing system and is the only bone healing device proved to accelerate the healing of fractures.
Given the recent drama surrounding the national team, England fans will hope it does the trick and Wilshere is back in time to travel to Poland.
