Speedo’s dad leads Goodison tribute

TRAGIC Gary Speed's grieving father led a heartfelt tribute to his son at Goodison Park yesterday.

Roger Speed stood in the centre circle as Everton and Stoke fans honoured the former Toffees midfielder with a minute's applause before kick-off.

Gary was a boyhood Everton fan who went on to make 58 league appearances for the club after his £3.5million move from Leeds in 1996.

His dad applauded the crowd as he walked to the centre circle. Fans also left dozens of tributes to Gary around the stadium.
