PARIS (AP)—France coach Laurent Blanc wants to stay on after the European Championship, but is waiting for a sign from his federation that he will be offered a new contract.
Blanc’s contract expires after Euro 2012, and the French Football Federation’s President Noel Le Graet has yet to offer him a new deal.
Speaking on French radio Wednesday, Blanc said “I want to (continue)” and “if I’m offered (a contract), that will be the case.”
Blanc would like to see the matter settled before Euro 2012, but said the decision is not in his hands
