John Terry has the full backing of the England squad despite the captain being embroiled in a racism row with Anton Ferdinand.

Terry is the subject of ongoing Metropolitan Police and FA investigations into whether he racially abused Ferdinand at Loftus Road last month.

It had been suggested that he would face difficulties in the England dressing room if the case was still hanging over him in the build-up to the clash with Spain.

But Manchester United defender Phil Jones, 19, insists the squad is ‘unified’ behind the skipper.
