Treat me like Arshavin! Rooney's plea to UEFA to have three-game ban reduced

Precedent: Andrey Arshavin was allowed to star at Euro 2008
Rooney says he will travel to the finals whatever the outcome, adding: 'Even if I'm not picked in the squad, I will go to the Euros as a fan.'
England boss Fabio Capello, however, has assured the striker that he will be there with England but Rooney is bracing himself to be left out of the squad to face Spain and Sweden.
He said: 'I'd like to be in it but I understand it's hard for him to give me game time because he has to play other players and see what works.'
