SWISS PLEASE ... Wayne Rooney could fly across Europe in a bid to overturn his three-match ban
WAYNE ROONEY could make a mercy dash to Switzerland to save his Euro 2012 dream.
The FA are to appeal his three-game ban after he was sent off for lashing out at Montenegro's Miodrag Dzudovic.
And England chiefs have hired a team of hotshot lawyers to get the Manchester United star's penalty reduced.
They will also ask UEFA if Rooney can appear at their Nyon HQ to plead his case.
It is a measure of how important they and Fabio Capello believe the forward is to the Three Lions' chances in Poland and Ukraine.
The FA have also learned Rooney is in no danger of having his ban extended by appealing.
