Above: Anton Ferdinand is facing another interview with the FA
FA officials will quiz Anton Ferdinand for a SECOND time today over the John Terry race row.
Ferdinand was interviewed for the first time on Tuesday over allegations that England captain Terry called him a “black c**t” during QPR’s win over Chelsea on Sunday.
The meeting at the club’s training ground with Ferdinand was also attended by QPR boss Neil Warnock.
Officials are also understood to have spoken to some of Ferdinand’s team- mates, although the club denied that Clint Hill, Paddy Kenny and Shaun Derry had given statements.
The FA will now pay a second visit to the club today to request an official statement from Ferdinand, who has remained silent in public since the row erupted.
A QPR spokesman said: “None of the three players have been called to give evidence or will be called to give evidence.”
All three are understood to be furious their names have been dragged into the row, with Derry not even on the pitch when the alleged incident took place.
Chelsea star Terry has protested his innocence, claiming his words, which were caught on camera, were taken out of context.
Instead, he insists he used the words in responding to Ferdinand’ s accusation on the pitch that he had racially abused him with the same words.
Racial abuse cases are notoriously difficult to prove.
The vital camera shot of Terry was obstructed at a crucial point by the defend- er’s Chelsea and England team-mate Ashley Cole, who is expected to be a key witness in the investigation.
The Terry row is the sec- ond racial abuse investigation currently under way at the FA, with no decision yet over Patrice Evra’s accusa- tion against Luis Suarez earlier this month.
The Metropolitan Police are also investigating the alleged Terry incident at Loftus Road after receiving a complaint from a member of the public.
The Professional Footballers’ Association yesterday pledged to assist the FA investigation, as they have done in the case of Evra and Suarez.
