NO DEAL ... David Beckham would love the shopping in Paris but Michel Platini does not want PSG to buy him
MICHEL PLATINI has told Paris St Germain to forget about signing David Beckham.
And the France legend reckons the former England skipper is only good for shopping these days!
Beckham, 36, is considering an offer to join the French Ligue One leaders when his contract with LA Galaxy runs out next month.
But UEFA president Platini claims the Qatari-backed club will be wasting their time and money bringing Becks to the French capital.
Platini said: "Beckham in Paris will certainly be good for shopping. I love this player but he is not the footballer he was.
"And if he comes to Paris now it will be to do something other than football."
Becks has been invited to sign for PSG by director of football Leonardo, his former Real Madrid team-mate.
But LA Galaxy, who signed him from Real Madrid in 2007, are also preparing an offer to keep him in the MLS.
QPR and Spurs have also shown an interest in the London-born star.
Beckham is keen to lead the GB football team in next year's Olympics.
