Tough test: Spain defender Sergio Ramos and team mates will provide a stern test at Wembley
It is more than a decade since England beat Spain and they have lost the last three encounters without scoring a goal.
Capello's team will follow the Spain game on November 12 with another friendly, four days later, also at Wembley, against European opposition yet to be confirmed.
Walcott said: 'The friendlies are always good to try players out, and when you play against top opposition, it is going to test you. The result doesn't matter but we want to go and win.
'The manager will get bits out of players he hasn't seen before and it is nice for the players on the fringe to show what they can do.
