Above: QPR star Shaun Wright-Phillips is in hot water
Shaun Wright-Phillips is in hot water with the FA for using an obscenity on Twitter.
The England and QPR star re-sent a tweet containing the swear word. Starsport understands the initial tweet was from a Manchester City fan attacking Wolves star Karl Henry.
It followed Henry’s recent bust-up with QPR’s Joey Barton at Molineux.
FA officials were alerted when Wright-Phillips re-tweeted.
They wrote to the former City star asking for an explanation.
Wright-Phillips apologised and was last night handed a written warning.
FA chiefs have told him that a repeat will see him hit with a misconduct charge.
