Hold on, Fabio! Russians must wait to lure England manager
Posted Tuesday, September 13, 2011 by Dailymail

Fabio Capello has a clause in his FA contract  preventing him accepting a new job before England have qualified for Euro 2012.

Capello is on the wanted list of big-spending Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala, but the FA have warned them off an approach.

England need a point from their final qualifier in Montenegro next month to reach the finals. Only if they secure it can the Italian negotiate his future.

Wanted man: Fabio Capello has been linked with a move to Russia

Aside from Capello's contractual issues, the other hurdle Anzhi must overcome is to convince his wife Laura to move.

Although the family enjoy visiting Russia, his wife still expects Fabio, 65, to keep his word and retire next summer.

According to friends, she is fed up of moving all over Europe and wants to settle into family life again.

Capello is also prevented from talking to other teams or national associations about the prospect of another job until England's destiny in Euro 2012 is known.
