Fabio Capello fury over Theo Walcott's book

THEO WALCOTT is facing the wrath of England coach Fabio Capello over his revelations about the hardline boss.

The Arsenal star could have put his international future in jeopardy after talking about the Italian in his book Growing Up Fast, serialised in The Sun this week.

Walcott has revealed how Capello screamed he would 'kill him' after he cut inside in pre-World Cup training.

Walcott, 22, was subsequently dropped from the squad for South Africa and he said: "I never quite knew what was required of me. I was confused.

"I had been injured so much that season my confidence was fragile, but no one ever helped me.

"If you are the boss surely you want everyone playing well and you want to encourage everyone. It killed me and I felt it wasn't fair."

Walcott also told how Capello blanked him and let a hotel room door swing in his face when he went to apologise for missing a team meeting.

Capello is said to be 'very unhappy' with what Walcott has done.

The winger has also confirmed a story that Capello threw an object at Emile Heskey for texting during dinner and that Wayne Rooney broke a cue clean in half when he lost at snooker to John Terry.

Such secrets are usually regarded as off-limits by players and he may get a frosty reception from his England team-mates.

Michael Owen can testify to how Capello takes umbrage at criticism. He told of his bemusement at being a sub against France over three years ago - and has never played for his country since.
