Fading star: Carragher

Martin Skrtel is not the most mobile of central defenders but Daniel Agger has a pretty complete game - fitness is his big problem.

Agger is technically very good and comfortable on the ball.

He's in the mould of Alan Hansen, so I'd expect him to play alongside Carragher.

With Sotirios Kyrgiakos as backup, Dalglish might feel he has the four central defenders he needs but after spending a lot of money on midfielders this summer, you imagine a young, English centre back is next on his list.
