Frank Lampard insists he will 'give everything' to extend his England career but accepts the future midfield will be built around players like Josh McEachran and Jack Wilshere.
When Lampard captained Fabio Capello's team against Denmark in February, he vowed never to retire from international football.
But the Chelsea midfielder, 33, who is expected to be named in the squad for next week's friendly against Holland, is starting to wonder if his club career might be prolonged by stepping away from England as Paul Scholes did to focus on playing for Manchester United.
