Ghana boss Goran Stevanovic said: 'I have asked him various times to play for us but tonight he has started to play for England. That's good for him but unfortunate for us because he's a very good player.

'England were the better team in the first half. In the second half my team gave a very good performance and we deserved a draw. Playing against England at Wembley is very tough and we travelled a long way in three days. We did our best.'
