So, how exactly can England stop Wales' flying winger Gareth Bale?

SCOTT PARKER

Capello could turn to Scott Parker in the De Jong role. There is a theory that the urgency to restore John Terry to captain was rooted in the idea that Frank Lampard might not start against Wales.

The England manager wants to start with Jack Wilshere and may be reluctant to pair him with Lampard again after their 45 minutes together against Denmark, when they struggled to get a grip on Christian Eriksen.

Leaving out Lampard is a big call but Parker would supply more defensive instinct.
